Furnwish partners with Cairo Design Award (CDA) to bring immersive AR experiences to the Middle East’s top interior designers
OCTOBER 11, 2018 – CAIRO: Furnwish is powering the region’s top interior designers with immersive augmented reality technology through a partnership with Cairo Design Award (CDA), taking place from October 11-13 at the Nile Ritz-Carlton, Egypt
The second installation of CDA, Egypt’s first and only platform for award-winning design, creativity and innovation in the Middle East, will gather leading designers to showcase and celebrate the industry’s achievements and most innovative products.
During the event, Furnwish will host “The X Room,” an empty canvas where interior designers will be invited to showcase their designs and bring them instantly to life using our app.
Founded in 2018, Furnwish is an immersive augmented reality app that empowers homeowners to visualize furniture in their own sp
ace as well as helps retailers and design professionals better showcase their products and services.
“This partnership is an opportunity to introduce our cutting-edge technology to the design community. CDA has become the industry’s hub for innovation and with Furnwish disrupting the entire furniture industry with its AR solutions, this is the ideal event for us to showcase our product,” says Reham Elmasry, Furnwish co-founder and CEO.
‘’We see CDA as the industry’s most inclusive platform, and it’s a great chance for Furnwish to build connections with the industry’s stakeholders by showing them how our app can transform their business,” says Ingi Naguib, Furnwish co-founder and CFO.
“At CDA we are always keen on introducing innovative technology, this year we are proud of this collaboration with Furnwish and we believe this will be a beginning of a new direction in the industry” says Hisham Mahdy CDA founder
Furnwish is an immersive augmented reality app that empowers homeowners to visualize furniture in their own space as well as helps retailers and design professionals better showcase their products and services.
Homeowners can visualize and customize any furniture with accurate measurements while also layering different products from different stores simultaneously, instantly translating design inspirations into reality. Furnwish will initially focus on newlyweds to capitalize on a sizable and growing market in Egypt. Around 300,000 couples get married each year in Egypt – a figure that grows 1.4% annually – and spend a total of $4.5 Billion on furnishing homes.
Furniture stores and design firms can use the app to showcase more inventory in less space and offer a better customer experience through augmented reality showrooms, meaning less returns and refunds and equaling more sales.
